About the brand & the tiles
Ceramic tiles have been made in Delft and the surrounding area since the 16th century. StoryTiles builds on this tradition and creates miniature stories on ceramic tiles. The studio is located in Amsterdam and was founded in 2013. StoryTiles currently sells its products in 300 stores spread over 20 countries around the world.
StoryTiles has revived the old tradition of ceramic decorative tiles.
With a fresh nod to traditional, Dutch craftsmanship and design.
Each design shows original narrative details; the authentic concept of an old-Dutch tile has become a contemporary tile with a striking modern twist.
The brand presents a new collection twice a year, in the spring and autumn. Part of the collection is designed together with international designers (Nathalie Lété for example).
In addition, the brand has licenses with various museums, including the Van Gogh Museum and the National History Museum.
StoryTiles also makes StoryWood and StoryCards, respectively designs on wood and ready-to-send cards with mini-tiles in them.
StoryTiles can be hung immediately, but get even more attention if you frame them, for example. That is why there is also a complete range of accessories with holders, frames and wall shelves made of natural oak wood.
The tiles come with a hanging system included so you can hang them directly on the wall. They are available in 2 different sizes: Small 10 x 10 cm and Medium 13 x 13 cm (some in Large 20 x 20 cm), the medium size is the same as the original old-Dutch tile.
